Lorraine Mariella, CSEP, CMP

Lorraine is a professional event manager and owner of Celebrations Event & Meeting Management, LLC. Lorraine has always enjoyed organizing opportunities for people to gather and have fun. Her innate creativity and organizational skills made her destined to be a special event manager. Making her love of celebrations her life’s work, Lorraine truly enjoys event management. It is this love of celebration and people that breeds her enthusiasm for event management. Whether she is planning a meeting for fifty people or a Gala for five thousand, Lorraine’s contagious enthusiasm shines through every aspect of her events.

Understanding that desire alone cannot be a substitute for experience and knowledge, Lorraine continues to learn and grow in the event management field. She has received her education in Special Event Management through New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. As a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and International Special Events Society (ISES), she continues to attend industry related seminars and conferences.

Lorraine has been awarded the Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) designation by the International Special Events Society Certification Committee. She has also earned the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation through the Convention Industry Council. Ms. Mariella is one of less than one hundred event professionals worldwide who have earned both of these coveted designations.

Ms. Mariella is an active and integral member of The New York ISES Metro Chapter Executive Board. She is also a member of Business Events Committee of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce. Lorraine has contributed her time and talents to organizing various events for Immaculate Heart of Mary Church & School. She is also an Executive Board member for The Paterson Diocesan Federation of Home & School Associations.

Lorraine has been invited to be a guest speaker at several seminars and events. Her topics include “Fun - Raising” and “Meeting Your Event Objectives”.

The CSEP is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. It is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and reflects a commitment to professional conduct and ethics.

CMP – The CMP credential enjoys worldwide recognition as the badge of excellence in meeting, convention and exhibition industry. The requirements for certification are based on professional experience and rigorous examination.
